Q: What powers the Autosteady?

A: The power comes from the source that powers your fridge and 12 volt lights while connected to the tow vehicle or the on board battery that you may have already fitted to your caravan.

Q: How long does it take to fit the Autosteady system to my caravan?

A: That depends on the ability of the person conducting the install. It could take the average DIY person between 2 and 3 hours.

Q: What happens if I get a failure?

A: In the unlikely event of one of the motors failing, you simply disconnect the wires for that motor from the receiver and operate manually.

Q: Will the Autosteady level the van for me?

A: No. The Autosteady system attaches to your current corner stabilisers. These are not made to be able to level your van. You should treat the Autosteady just as a replacement for manual winding and level your van prior to operating the Autosteady system as you normally would.

Q: Do I need to perform maintenance on the Autosteady system?

A: No. You just need to make sure the threaded rod inside the corner stabilisers are kept lubricated and clean as you would normally do.
